Above & Beyond Barclays – Alive Coverage
Above & Beyond took over the Barclays Center this past weekend for a stop on their Common Ground tour and for all that attended I don't think words can describe it. Above & Beyond and Anjunabeats brings out a crowd that no other “EDM” act can even compare too. From 8pm when Yotto took over the decks to midnight when confetti reigned through the Barclays, I couldn't find one person who didn't have a grin from ear to ear.
The opening act Yotto started the night off with a perfect Anjunadeep groove that had people dancing all the way to their seats or to their section on the floor. Once Yotto's set finished up, Andrew Bayer graced the decks for some of his powerful classics that most Anjuna fans have been dying to hear live for years. At around 9:50 when Bayer wrapped up the Barclays was packed to the gills for the main event to hit the decks, Above & Beyond.
At 10:00 on the dot Tony & Jono stepped out on the decks to an absolute roar from the crowd. Playing a mix of classics from the past, unreleased live tracks like Rocket Science that we all love, as well as a few new songs off Common Ground, I did not stop dancing for 120 minutes straight. Hearing some of my personal favorite songs such as Ilan Bluestone's Satellite remix, Maor Levi's remix of Sink the Lighthouse and an absolutely roof shaking play of Naked, it made this set that much more special.
I'm not lying to you here when I think this set was the best overall Above & Beyond set I've ever seen. Playing every song the crowd wanted to hear along with absolutely MIND BLOWING special effects such as lasers, fire, confetti & more this show was much more than I could've ever imagined. If you have a chance to see a stop on this tour, DO IT, you will not regret being on Common Ground with your fellow #anjunafam
