Now that 2017 is coming to a close we reflect back on the accomplishments of certain artist over the last year. Easily the most accomplished artists in EDM in 2017 is Marshmello. Much like The Chainsmokers in 2016, Marshmello found the formula for main stream success. His collaborations with pop stars as well as his infectious melodies have helped Marshmello rise the charts. Now as the year concludes he finds himself as the 3rd most successful male artists in terms of sales on iTunes.
The man behind the Mask outranks musical heavy hitters Sam Smith and Zayn Malik and falls just behind Ed Sheeran and Post Malone. To think of some of the names who have not even made the list is insane. Marshmello might get some hate in different realms of music, but at the end of the day he continues to smile back at the haters. The man in the white helmet is making a big statement as he continues to rise into the ranks of musical elites. (Yes we know in the tweet below Mike awkwardly tagged the wrong Marshmello…).
