IDHY (I don't hate you) is a vulnerable trap/r&b track that opens a portal for the heartbroken. I wrote the song with my friend Wendy (wends) just a couple of weeks after I personally went through a tough break-up. The song presents genuine feelings in hopes of being able to relate to others who have gone through the same. The emotion behind the vocals simply pluck a string in your heart as you begin to become lost in the visual aspect of the lyrics. The song truly offers a voice for the hopeless romantics in the world.
“This song really hits home. It was one of the first times I fully invested all of my emotions and creativity into one song. The lyrics and concept come from first hand experiences and I truly wanted to express myself via music. That’s what I want my music to be known for going forward” – Wavesz
