Infected Mushroom Brings Psytrance To Monstercat

The psytrance producing Israeli duo known as Infected Mushroom has dropped Spitfire on Monstercat. Yes, you read that correctly, kudos Monstercat for becoming woke! I for one am ecstatic that the Canadian based label is expanding its genres and exposing psytrance to their fan base. I truly believe that the next big thing in the scene will be one of the oldest genres that dance music has to offer and I am ready for the takeover.

Infected Mushroom has been spitting fire since the 90's and this song is an a testament to their talents. Spitfire is simply a fantastic psytrance track that begins with a cinematic intro. A Zither rains down notes as the glitched sanskrit vocals from a far away hemisphere come in. Is it a synth or someone recording the ancient stringed instrument? With the live sets I have seen by Infected Mushroom I can’t even begin to speculate. The crisp thumping bass line drums along as the synths stretch the song giving it that elastic Infected Mushroom feel. Distorted guitar layer into the track and the song is in full swing. Infected's complex synthesized compositions are works of art and the perfect way for Monstercat to introduce this genre to its fans. Without futher ado, I give you Cats on Mushrooms aka Spitfire.
