Watch Live Sets From Untold Festival, Including A Full 5 Hour Set From Armin Van Buuren
Untold Festival took place this last weekend from Romania and things got absolutely wild. The festival curated a beyond impressive line up including all of the biggest dance music superstars and many more. The festival also did something that many try to stay away from; they live streamed the entire thing via Facebook and then uploaded the massive videos.
That is how we were able to find sets from Afrojack, Marshmello, Steve Aoki and an absolutely massive set from Armin Van Buuren. Armin’s set was so long, a full 5.5 hours, that they had to divide it into two separate videos! You can watch all of those sets below!
For anyone who hasn’t been paying attention, Untold has quietly turned into one of the biggest festivals in Europe. It started back in 2015 when Cluj-Napoca was named European Youth Capital, and the city basically said “let’s throw a massive dance music festival to celebrate.” Fast forward to this year and the thing has exploded. This third edition ran August 3rd through the 6th and reportedly pulled in over 330,000 people across the four days, spread out over ten different stages scattered through the city center. That is festival-as-takeover-of-an-entire-town territory, not just a weekend in a field.
The mainstage sets went down at Cluj Arena, which is exactly where Armin set up shop for his marathon session. A 5.5 hour DJ set is no joke even for a legend like Armin, who is used to playing extended sets at his own A State of Trance shows, but stretching it out over an entire festival mainstage and having it be so packed with music that Facebook had to split the upload into two videos is a different kind of flex. If you’re a trance head, this is basically a masterclass in how to hold a crowd’s attention for the better part of six hours without losing steam.
The rest of the lineup we’ve got footage from is stacked too. Afrojack and Marshmello bring the big-room and future bass energy respectively, while Steve Aoki does what Steve Aoki does best, which is turn a DJ set into a full blown circus in the best possible way. Scroll down and watch all four sets below, and if you’ve never looked into Untold before, this is a good excuse to add it to the festival bucket list. Enjoy!
