A-Trak noted on twitter today that the 20th anniversary of his victory at the world DMC is coming up fast. His victory as a teenager in the world's most renowned DJ competition without a doubt solidified the artist as a force to be reckoned with in the DJ world. In celebration of the anniversary A-Trak has created a new DJ and Beat competition called The Goldie Awards.
The competition will take place in Brooklyn this coming September and feature superstar judges including, Diplo, Just Blaze, Mannie Fresh, Mija, Craze, Destructo and Whooligan. This is not your usual competition. The contestants are allowed to bring literally any piece of equipment to show the crowd and judges what they got. It is a DJ competition for the modern day where skills are evolving at an exponential rate. Check out the trailer below.
