HARD Summer 2017 Trailer Tackles Gender Inequality in Dance Music

Time over time, it's pretty common knowledge that music festivals tend to book mostly male artists. In fact, when Lady Gaga headlined Coachella this year, she was the first female headliner in an entire decade.

For HARD Summer's 2017 trailer, Gary Richards put together a trailer displaying the gender inequality in dance music in quite the unfunny way. Even though HARD has upgraded its festival to include 26 female performers (out of 110), HARD Summer's is goofy and downright controversial.

In the trailer you'll notice DJ Snake, Claude VonStroke, Party Favor and What So Not wearing fake breasts which has alluded to Teen Vogue calling it the “most sexist thing you've ever seen.” As Nylon points out, the idea that putting a pair of breasts on someone automatically makes them a “woman” is kind of messy.
