Axwell /\ Ingrosso’s EP Will Be Released at The End of May
Nearly all of the information surrounding an album release from Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso has been a mystery. Back in November of 2016, Axwell Λ Ingrosso’s manager Amy Thomson revealed that the duo’s debut EP will be announced in January of 2017. While it’s been a few months since the album announcement, Amy Thomson revealed today that Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso’s new EP will come out at the end of this month.
In addition to the EP announcement, Thomson confirmed that the EP will include one track that has not been played yet called “Renegade.” “It’s summer gold,” Thomson confirms. “Renegade” is expected to drop mid-May, before the EP itself is released.

When the EP finally landed on May 24, 2017, the title track “More Than You Know” turned out to be the real star of the release. The song went on to pick up certifications in more than a dozen countries, eventually becoming the most commercially successful single Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso released together as a duo — a pretty remarkable feat for a project that, at the time of this announcement, still didn’t even have a confirmed release date.
That kind of payoff wasn’t guaranteed. Axwell Λ Ingrosso had been teasing this EP since Thomson first mentioned it back in November 2016, and by the time “More Than You Know” the song (and the EP of the same name) actually arrived, fans had been waiting the better part of six months just for confirmation of a release window. The slow rollout ended up working in the duo’s favor, building exactly the kind of anticipation that turned the title track into a genuine hit rather than just another single lost in the shuffle.
The EP’s four songs later became part of the duo’s debut studio album that December, which meant the momentum from “More Than You Know” carried the project all the way through to a full-length release before Axwell Λ Ingrosso eventually stepped back from the spotlight to reunite with Steve Angello as Swedish House Mafia.
