Hardwell Premieres New ID During Ultra Set [LISTEN]

Ultra Music Festival’s Miami Mainstage has a well-earned reputation as the place where big-name producers unleash their vault of unreleased weapons on a crowd that’s primed to lose it, and Saturday night was no exception. Hardwell used his 2017 slot to remind everyone exactly why he’s spent time perched at the very top of the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll, taking the #1 spot back-to-back in 2013 and 2014 and building Revealed Recordings into one of the genre’s most recognizable imprints along the way.

Ultra has been filled with extreme talent, this evening strongly focusing on the trance and house world of EDM, with Hardwell starting at 6:45, which is available to view in 360!

The foreboding build-up preludes an erratic stream of noises that are truly un-nameable, something Hardwell realizes as well. He’s currently tearing up the stage with remixes of Ed Sheeran‘s “Shape Of You” festival mix, a sick mix of “The Next Episode” by Dr. Dre, and a lot more electro-house bops!

Since 2013, this ID hunt has basically become tradition for anyone following along with Miami Music Week. Fans in the crowd and watching the livestream immediately started trying to Shazam and tag both of these unnamed cuts the second they dropped, and honestly that’s half the fun of an Ultra Mainstage set from a producer at Hardwell’s level — you know at least one ID is going to blow up group chats before the set even wraps.
