Every calendar year, the longest running electronic radio show, A State of Trance, takes it's massive presence in the trance community and pushes it's beauty into a live tour featuring the biggest names in the genre. The tour finds it's way to all corners of the world over a few months and brings fans a once in a lifetime experience every year to date. Along with the live tour comes the prestigious honor of creating the anthem for the experience. Major artists such as Markus Schulz, Ben Gold, W&Wand ASOT founder and owner Armin Van Buuren himself have all participated in the intense process of creating the anthem in the last few years. This year, Armin took on the task himself and created a huge piece titled “I Live For That Energy”.

Today, we bring to you a remix that is arguably more impressive than the original itself. While that is difficult to say and back up usually, Australian producer Exis makes it pretty hard not to believe it. Combining the melody and synth patterns originally developed by Armin, with a new psy-trance heavy influence the track gains a ridiculous amount of power compared to the original. Truly, this piece gave us chills the first time we heard it. While the original is one of Armin's most prized possessions currently, we would not be surprised if this remix got a decent amount of play-out on the upcoming ASOT 800 tour. Check it out below, and let us know if you enjoy it as much as we do!

My name is Adam Leopold and I'm a contributor here at EDM Sauce. I love all genres, but my favorites are trance and dubstep. I love artists that dignify themselves from the pack through original content and a separation from the average sounds. If you can throw down a set I've never heard before, I'm instantly a fan. My favorite artists are Above & Beyond, Pretty Lights, and Bassnectar. I'm currently pursuing a Political Science degree at Temple University and am living in Philadelphia as well. My name on Facebook is Leo Adam, feel free to add me if you want to chat about anything music related or just to have another friendly face in the scene. I hope you all enjoy what I put out and am so grateful to be able to give to an industry that has given so much to me!
