Matthew Koma is kind of a big deal in the dance music world already. There was a time when it seemed that he was featured on an aggressive amount of tracks. Tiesto's “Wasted” and Zedd's “Spectrum” were just some of the many hits that featured Koma as a vocalist.
Now he has stepped out of the progressive house sphere of influence to chase down an artistic vision unique to his brain. He has started to do so with a dynamic track that was co-produced with none other than Flux Pavilion. “Kisses Back” is a bit off putting at first, not in a bad way but it is just very different. Koma's voice seems to have primed my brain to expect a specific sounding track, but he has clearly thrown that formula away. The song is a radio hit waiting to happen in my opinion. Matthew's vocals, and his production skills alongside Flux's have made for a catchy, and exciting new track.
We are interested to see exactly what comes from Matt's debut album. So far it has been announced that he is working with Louis the Child, Jai Wolf, Grey, Steve James, and Flux Pavilion. Needless to say we are hopeful.
