One year ago today up and coming bass producers Nghtmre and Boombox Cartel released a massive trap/dubstep fusion track entitled “Aftershock” that sent (no pun intended) shockwaves through the bass community. The song was fresh, original, and absolutely nasty. Crowds instantly fell in love with the track, and the name Boombox Cartel began to take off. Being one of the biggest tracks to date for the duo Boombox Cartel, they decided to gift their fans a little present on the one year anniversary of it's release. A VIP version of the song is now out, and it does exactly what the original does, makes fans fall in love with the duo even more than they already had. Utilizing the fresh drums and melodies of the original and incorporating them into an even filthier version this time around, the duo have created another masterpiece made from the same tools as one of their previous ones. Take a listen below.
The release came with a heartwarming message of gratitude from the group. “1 year ago we released the ‘Aftershock' with NGHTMRE and it's been one of our biggest songs yet, the amount of love and support we received from it was insane. Today, to celebrate it's birthday we want to give you this VIP we've been sitting on for quite some time now… and of course, for free :)”. Adding the free aspect to the song just goes to show how much the duo truly loves their fans. Boombox Cartel has been one of our favorite producers in the year since the original song was released. They are a shining example of what a musician in electronic dance music should be. We can't wait to see them shine on for the next year ahead and can't even imagine what they have in store for us.
