There's a party happening deep in the Rockies – and you're invited!

Next weekend launches the Powabunga Festival, an immersive musical experience located in the world-class Vail, Colorado and surrounding mountain areas. The festival will tap viral sensation ZHU, Grammy award-winning duo Bob Moses, Justin Jay (both of Dirtybird fame and with his entire band Fantastic Voyage), Boombox (started by the son of two Grateful Dead members) and many more. But the event doesn't just feature live music – it is also bringing art installations, a wacky downhill skiing costume contest, and a variety of vendors. The event is meant to highlight the diverse and joyful spirit of the Rocky Mountains, and the roster will no doubt capitalize on that.

The event kicks off Friday, March 22nd at 4 PM and runs till 10 PM. Saturday will host the Downhill Costume Contest from 11AM  – 3 PM with the music kicking off again at 4.The event will also feature two exclusive and intimate afterparties at Vail Ale House. Justin Jay will spin Friday, along with Vail Ale House resident Beschloo and Dirty Harry. On Saturday, Bob Moses will spin a DJ set along with Romona, Ishi, and Gavlak.
