Last week, Trance legend Markus Schulz released his newest and highly incepting album Watch The World. Its his sixth, but also first that Markus has produced independently for his own Coldharbour label, for release in conjunction with Dutch heavyweights, Black Hole Recordings. This album is completely different than the other albums that are about higher concepts we are all used to. Watch The World is one an album that specifically strengthens the bridge between the music and the song.
Over the course of its 17 tracks, Markus has developed a close-than-ever correlation between himself, the singers, the lyrics, and their message. In an recent interview during Miami Music Week, we spoke briefly about the album this is what he said. “The cool thing about this album, when I was young I used to do a lot of creative writing and I was quite good at it and teachers encouraged me and everything, but when I started DJing and when I started producing and I started making the sounds and the melodies, all my creative energy went into that. So with this album though I collaborated with a lot singers, a lot of songwriters to write the stories themselves be a part of that creative process, the actual writing of the messages in the songs and I’m very proud of it. I mean it’s not just a put your hands in the air kind of album. It’s a lot of thoughtful messages and I’m very, very proud of it.”
Following the release of the album – Markus Schulz is now on tour ‘Watch The World Tour’. Already stopping at Washington DC, his next stop is right here at his home – Miami at Heart. Tomorrow night May 6th at Heart Nightclub, Markus Schulz will be setting the stage and will be playing tracks from his new album Watch The World. Tickets are still available HERE.
