One golden rule when playing DJ sets is to ‘only play high quality tracks,' especially if you're DJing a music festival. ALOK seems to have missed this memo.
During Tomorrowland Brazil, one fan noticed that ALOK played Deadmau5's unreleased “Imaginary Friends.” Despite the track being unreleased, the song was obviously a low-quality rip most likely from SoundCloud or YouTube. Needless to say, Deadmau5 wasn't pleased.
@deadmau5 Joel, did you let alok play "Imaginary Friends" at Tomorrowland Brasil?

It's not released, but funny to know there are still "big djs" out there getting paid to play shitty YouTube rips. https://t.co/QUJjPDHwmb

Because 90 percent of them don't have any idea what they're doing or why… Other than your money ofc. https://t.co/UGPek1JAVr

Watch the set below:
Surprisingly enough, this isn't the first time someone played a rip of Deadmau5's music without his consent. Earlier this year, Deadmau5 called out SiriusXM for playing a rip of his SoundCloud demo “4ware.”
