Flume Drops Bedtime Mix On BBC1

Flume is back at it again (lol) with a bedtime mix for BBC1. I honestly really enjoy all the mixes he has put together for various radio stations. He chooses a very eclectic assortment of tracks that come from his own personal library. It gives us a little insight at his influences and that is really cool to me. This time he chose to give a very down tempo . He definitely gave a very fitting name to the mix. My honest suggestion would be to listen in your Headphones when you can't sleep. It will take you somewhere else. “Didn't I” by Darondo is my favorite song from this list. It brings a little old school funk and soul in the best way possible. Check out BBC Radio 1 for some really cool style mixes you can't get on US radio stations.

Tracklist

  • Shlohmo – “Places”
  • Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti – “Baby”
  • Jamie xx – “Sound Sleep”
  • Darondo – “Didn’t I”
  • Little Dragon – “Twice”
  • Charles Murdoch – “No Lungs”
  • Deep Forest – “Sweet Lullaby” (Leron & Yves Euax Chill Mix)

Flume Talks New Album

In the intro of the bedtime mix Flume has a quick conversation with Phill Taggart from BBC1 and while he doesn't disclose full information about his new album, he does offer some quick teasers. A lot of vocalists, more songwriting,  and a more upbeat tempo (due to his influence from playing so many festivals recently).

Flume + Disclosure

Future Classic took to Instagram last night and gave us a little teaser. Well I guess more of a big teaser. Flume and Disclosure gave us one of dance musics “future classics” (haha) a few years ago with “You and Me”. Future classic posted a disclosure style face photo of Flume, which could only mean one thing. Another huge remix to look out for! Since Future Classic is his record label I can only assume a huge remix is on the horizon, waiting for this record to drop.
