Hardwell Enlists Armin van Buuren, W&W, Vicetone, and More on “United We Are Remixed”

As 2015 comes to a close, Hardwell is definitely in the giving mood with the holiday season in full swing. He brought together some mainstage heavyweights and Revealed rising stars to present United We Are Remixed, out now on Revealed Recordings.

The remix album revisits Hardwell’s 2015 debut studio album United We Are, which dropped back in January on Cloud 9 Music, Revealed Recordings, Sony Music, and Ultra Music, and went on to hit #1 in Germany, #2 on the UK Albums Chart, and #2 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart — a genuinely massive showing for a DJ’s debut full-length. Lead single "Young Again" set the tone back in October 2014, and the album spun off seven pre-release singles in total before it even dropped.

Now the whole tracklist gets the remix treatment. Chocolate Puma take the opening track "Eclipse" and flip it into a percussion-driven masterpiece. The title track receives the Armin Van Buuren treatment, resulting in an uplifting remix filled with the Dutch phenom’s unmistakeable sound. W&W transform “Birds Fly,” featuring Mr. Probz, into a pulsating festival anthem with sights on the mainstage. Elsewhere on the record, Bingo Players rework "Follow Me" (feat. Jason Derulo), Vicetone take on "Colors & Tiesto" (feat. Andreas Moe), DallasK gives his own track "Area51" a fresh rework, and Dave Winnel reworks "Let Me Be Your Home" (feat. Bright Lights) — all part of a stand-out collection of remixes that also pulls in Frontliner, KURA, and more.

It’s a solid way to close out the year for Hardwell, who’s spent 2015 splitting time between his own headlining sets and running Revealed Recordings as a launchpad for exactly the kind of up-and-coming names featured on this remix package. Giving artists like Bingo Players, Vicetone, and Dave Winnel a shot at reworking tracks off your debut album is as much a co-sign as it is a remix credit, and it’s the kind of move that’s helped Revealed build out its roster over the past few years.

Whether you’re a fan of the original album or just here for the remixes, there’s a lot to dig into — over a dozen reworks across nearly every corner of the mainstage and progressive house sound, from artists who’ve clearly studied Hardwell’s style closely enough to put their own spin on it without losing what made the originals work in the first place.
