Kaskade Will Use Epic Coachella Stage in His San Diego Automatic Tour Performance

During Coachella this year, a video of Kaskade preparing an elaborate stage for his performance surfaced. Known for his consistently professional performances, Kaskade spent countless hours crafting every detail of his performance to ensure it was as magical as possible.

The DJ has announced the same stage that captivated his fans this year will be used in his San Diego performance of his Automatic Tour this Friday,

‘This stage was designed and built for my show at Coachella this year. Since that historic weekend it has sat dormant in a storage unit out by LAX. This week I break it back out for my 1st San Diego area concert since summer 2011!’

That’s a pretty wild detail on its own, an entire custom-built Coachella main stage rig, one that thousands of people saw on the festival’s biggest weekend, has just been sitting in a warehouse near LAX for months waiting for the right show to bring it back out. Now it gets a second life in San Diego, a city Kaskade hasn’t played in over four years.

Kaskade kicked off his North American tour last night in Denver Colorado. The tour celebrates his latest album release titled ‘Automatic’. After an amazing performance at TomorrowWorld, we’re sure Kaskade has plenty more in store for us coming soon.

The Automatic Tour has been billed as one of Kaskade’s most production-heavy runs yet, and it makes sense given how much he’s leaned into visuals and stage design in recent years. Kaskade has never been a DJ who’s content to just show up with a laptop and a mixer, he treats every stop like it deserves its own experience, and reusing the Coachella stage for a hometown-adjacent show is a pretty clear signal of how much this San Diego date means to him personally.

For fans in the area who caught wind of this early, it’s a rare chance to see festival-scale production in a much more intimate club or theater setting, which is a completely different experience than watching it from a few hundred yards back on a festival field. If you were anywhere near San Diego this weekend, this was one you didn’t want to sleep on.
