In a recent interview with Rolling Stone County, Zac Brown Band's leader interestingly talked about his love for both country music and EDM.
Despite the criticism Zac Brown Band received for their approach of combining EDM songs into their new album, Zac Brown Band says that they are working on more EDM/Country songs.
The opening track “Beautiful Drug” on Zac Brown Band's ‘Jekyll + Hide' is somewhat of an Avicii-styled EDM song as he said in the interview. The song combines an electronic beat and usage of heavy guitar playing.
“You can de-select the songs that you don't want to have on the record, but I hope we always put something out that has a lot of songs that the majority of people will love. So I'm working on new electronic music, and we'll be writing the new Zac Brown Band record along the way,” he said.
Zac Brown Band said that their new music has been well received live and it has only encouraged them to continue to explore the genre more.
