Bassnectar Announces Release Date for New LP “Into The Sun”

Whether you were able to attend Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater over the weekend or not – anyone who is a fan of Bassnectar‘s music or has seen him live knows the effect that his three-date weekend had on the basshead family/community. The experience brought plenty of love and light together over the final weekend and with just a few days removed from the saga, more great news has arrived.
A new blog post on his website (bassnectar.net) confirmed that Bassnectar will be dropping new music in just a couple weeks, with a pre-order available on Tuesday, June 16th – which will allow fans to download 5 new songs off his upcoming LP – which is titled “Into the Sun.” The full release will be on June 30th. It will be a “super-album” with 16 tracks and a mix that’s 75 minutes long.
If you haven’t checked out his previous mixtapes before, we highly recommend you prepare yourself with his last incredible piece of work, Immersive Music Mixtape Vol. 1 below. It’s a free download. We’re expecting more of the same incredible production.

“Into The Sun” Dropped Right On Schedule
Bassnectar delivered exactly what he promised here, “Into the Sun” arrived on June 30th, 2015 as announced, giving fans the full 16-track “super-album” experience following that huge Red Rocks weekend. The album became one of the more ambitious releases of his catalog at that point, spanning his usual genre-hopping bass production across a genuinely massive tracklist rather than a tighter, more conventional album length.
Red Rocks Had Long Been A Bassnectar Stronghold
Red Rocks holding this kind of significance for a Bassnectar release wasn’t a coincidence, the venue had become one of his signature stops over the years, the kind of amphitheater setting that suited his massive, immersive production style better than a typical club or festival stage. Pairing a career-highlight run of shows there with the announcement of his next full album gave “Into the Sun” a sense of occasion that a standard press release rollout never could have matched.
