Kaskade Wants To Go On A Run With You During Miami Music Week

Last April, Kaskade decided to change things up by introducing “The Spark Run.” The fun run featured a 5k that encouraged costumes, glow sticks and LEDs. Now for Miami Music Week, Kaskade has announced that he wants to run with you during Miami Music Week.
Kaskade wrote on his Facebook:
“This Friday 03/27 I’m going for a run. I want you to join me. Just for fun – no $$ no tickets no scalpers no attitude no politics just run with me.
Fifth Ave + Ocean Ave.
11:30 AM – I’ll be the guy doing hamstring stretches.
We’ll go to the W Hotel. Who’s in?”
It’s a pretty on-brand move for Kaskade, who’s built a reputation as one of the more down-to-earth, health-conscious names in dance music. Between his own history running marathons and the success of The Spark Run the year before, this casual, no-frills invite feels less like a publicity stunt and more like an extension of who he actually is off stage. There’s no ticket price, no VIP wristband, no meet-and-greet fee attached, just an open invitation to show up on a South Beach sidewalk and jog alongside one of the biggest headliners of Miami Music Week.
That kind of accessibility matters during a week that’s otherwise packed with sold-out pool parties, guest lists, and $100+ cover charges. Miami Music Week has a way of turning into a blur of VIP sections and industry showcases, so a free morning run open to literally anyone who shows up on Ocean Avenue stands out. It’s also a smart bit of goodwill from an artist whose calendar during MMW is normally jammed with sets, interviews, and label meetings, carving out time for something that has nothing to do with promoting a new single or album.

If you happened to be in Miami that Friday morning, lacing up for a 5k with Kaskade before a night of sets probably wasn’t the worst way to kick off the day. Here’s hoping the turnout was big and nobody pulled a hamstring trying to keep pace with him.
It’s also a good reminder that Miami Music Week isn’t only about who’s headlining which club or which pool party has the longest line. Some of the most memorable moments come from the little, unscripted stuff, an artist you love inviting fans to just show up and hang out, no production budget required. Kaskade clearly gets that, and between The Spark Run and this impromptu group jog, he’s carved out a lane for himself as one of the few A-list DJs actually meeting fans on the sidewalk instead of behind a barricade.
