Get ready for a big 2015 from the Chemical Brothers. Tom Rowlands, one half of the duo with Ed Simons, gave a recent interview for their announcement to play at the Sonar Festival in Barcelona, Spain next year (among other dates, info below). He revealed some exciting news including their preparations for a new live stage setup and some details about their upcoming studio album. Their first studio album was released almost a full decade ago in 1995 and this will be their eighth.
In reference to the new album, Rowlands said, “we hope for finding a new way to make you feel. We dream of new sounds and different frames. We have worked with some great guest singers but mostly the album is pure Chemical Brothers.”
For their live stage show, he mentioned that famous British television director Adam Smith had some intriguing ideas in the works for their live show in Barcelona next June.
“We are still imagining the gig, both music and visual. We are working on the staging of the live gig at the moment. Adam (Smith) has some amazing ideas. The show will be an intense ride, hold tight.”
The Chemical Brothers have remained a hot ticket since the early 90's when they broke out onto the scene. This will be their first tour since 2011.
