So far we've had a chance to hear three singles off the EP and they've set the bar pretty high. “Runaway” premiered with a great music video that you must see, followed by two beautiful baby-making jams that take drumstep to another level, “Ribcage” and “Stay.”
With the rest of “Runaway,” we are taken to EDM church with Ianborg's tasteful harmonic style and Crywolf's soulful lyrics. Tracks like “Aporia” are like Southern comfort electronica meets nostalgic hammock rock. This is the sixth and final track on the EP, starting with Crywolf's softest cries over a slow classic piano melody, developing into a boom-boom-drop drum arrangement. The intro lyrics start, “Come in close, lace your ribs into my spine. I'll dissolve into your soul, our bones fusing in the light.” Yeah, it's heart-warmer for the babes.
“Bedroom Eyes (Berlin by Ry X)” feels euphoric and spiritual with more impressive chill effects. This one might get used in the yoga session for the come-down. “Oceans Part II” is more classic piano and a powerful drum beat to match serious emotional energy. This has an unpredictable build-up and progressive melody that has similar awe-inspiring feels to Ribcage.
