Tracklist for David Guettas New Album Released

David Guettas new album ‘Listen’ is to be released on the 21st of the next month. With “Lovers On the Sun” and “Dangerous” already giving us a sugary taste of things to come, the other tracks on the album seem to sweeten the mix further. If the success of previous collaborations such as “Titanium” with Sia and “Lunar” with Afrojack says anything, Listen is sure to deliver once again. ‘Listen’ ended up landing right on schedule, arriving on November 21st, 2014 as Guetta’s sixth studio album. It debuted at number 8 on the UK Albums Chart with a little over 24,000 copies sold in its first week, and in the US it opened more modestly at number 22 on the Billboard 200 — but the record had real staying power. Nearly six months after release, it caught a second wind and climbed from number 30 all the way up to number 4 on the Billboard 200, eventually becoming Guetta’s highest-charting album ever in the United States.
A lot of that longevity came down to just how stacked the tracklist turned out to be. “Hey Mama” with Nicki Minaj and Afrojack became a massive global single well after the album’s release, while “Bang My Head” with Sia and “Dangerous” with Sam Martin kept the momentum going on radio and in festival sets. Between Sia’s two features, John Legend lending his voice to the title track, and Nico & Vinz teaming up with Ladysmith Black Mambazo on “Lift Me Up,” Listen leaned hard into pairing Guetta’s production with genuinely A-list vocalists, which is a big part of why the record kept climbing the charts months after most albums would’ve faded out.
Looking back, ‘Listen’ marked a turning point where Guetta doubled down on the pop-crossover formula that would define the back half of his career, setting the stage for the run of massive collaborations that followed. If you slept on this one when it first dropped, it’s worth revisiting the full tracklist above with fresh ears.
