The DJ Mag Top 100 poll is now open. As there are many DJs like Deadmau5 who think the competition is pointless, there are still quite a few DJs who take the event very seriously due to the popularity it brings.
One example of a DJ taking this event seriously is Jay Style. In order to attract more voters, DJ Jay Style calls himself a “music slave” by painting himself in all black body paint.
After the campaign, DJ Style said “sorry if some peoples didn’t understand the message, it’s a misunderstanding!” and that it’s “nothing racist! It’s linked with MUSIC and not skin color!”
We can't make this stuff up.
