Crookers, the electro-house project of Francesco “Phra” Barbaglia, brought house back to its roots in Chicago last Friday, May 30th. Luckily for us, it also happened to be the first official weekend of the Summer for Chicagoans. Fans were able to get out , hit the dance floors and kick off the season in style.
Crookers' newest single “Able to Maximize” dropped shortly before Phra's stop in Chicago. “Able to Maximize” demonstrates Phra’s ability to create something truly unique. This song is also a great example of how it feels to be at a Crookers show: high energy all the way through, fun, up beat and smooth.
The party raged on until 4am, at which time I headed over to the lake to catch the sunrise. A perfect ending to such an amazing night of music and dancing.
