Femme Fatale Friday Vol. 12: Movement Festival Special

Happy Friday everyone! This week we will be catching up with the Femme Fatales of Movement Festival. These nine talented artist will be playing between five stages from May 24-26 at Hart Plaza in Detroit. Below you will find when they will be playing and a little taste of their music. Enjoy!

Saturday:

First up is Bonnie Baxter, aka Shadowbox. Bonnie will be kicking off the Red Bull Music Academy Stage from 2-3pm with some of her eclectic electronic sound.

Starting at 3pm, some sweet techo and house beats will be served up by tINI on the Beatport stage. tINI is an electronic veteran, so don't miss your chance to watch her spin.

On one of my favorite stages, Made In Detroit, will be DJ Minx. She will take you back with some funky beats from 7-8pm.

Sunday:
Sunday will be a little tricky trying to pick who you will be starting off your Movement festivities with because three artist will be overlapping: Gabi, Nightwave, and Rai Knight.

There’s no better way to start Sunday at Movement than with Gabi at the Made In Detroit stage at 12-2pm. Born in Germany and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Gabriele Schwarz has turned her love for electronic music into from lifetime career. Her sound combines dark techno with elements of dub and deep melodies.

Opening up the Red Bell Music Academy Stage will be Maya Medvesek aka Nightwave. Nightwave will be playing from 1-2pm.

With the love of all things deep house, Rai Knight will be setting the mood on the MOOG stage. She has a collection tracks under her belt just waiting for you to hear.

Following Gabi on the Made In Detroit stage will be the one and only Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale. From 3 to 4pm, Stacey will be showing you why music is better in the D.

Spinning on Movements new stage, Silent Disco, will be Annie Hall at 8-9pm. Slip on some headphone and enjoy.

For the last day of Movement there is one person you need to see, Heidi . She’s an electronic music vet hailing form Windsor, Canada who was inspired the sounds of the Motor City and Chicago. Don't miss her booty shaking beats coming through the speakers of the Beatport stage on Sunday from 3-4:30pm.
