Shuffling between Barca and Poland, Maya Medvesek (better known as Nightwave) took some time to chat with us about her new remix of, Machines In Heaven's ‘Displacer'. Now, this isn't the “traditional” Nightwave sound, but still, it's great! It inspires that feeling you get while driving back home from an amazing night, and the energy of the music is still thumping in your veins.
What inspired you to remix this particular track by Machines In Heaven?
I am a big fan of Machines in heaven, brilliant musicians and lovely guys, I was very happy when they asked me to remix ‘Displacer', love the original as well.
Was there a particular mood you were going for?
It's called a ‘6AM‘ mix because of the energy I tried to recreate. Hazy zen sunrise, maybe coming back from a club with that buzzin' loving feeling from the night. The track is quite different from my usual stuff, much slower and basic but I enjoyed working on it. Maybe there'll be more 6AM remixes haha
