Following up with the release of his last EP, “Can People Fly,” Bastian Salbart has a new single being released today with the esteemed High Contrast Recordings, entitled “Krush”; and for this one, Salbart took to a friend to provide a nice splash of rock. Along with a smooth, wavy bassline, a powerful proggy lead melody, stuttery, electro-inspired fills, and a prolonged, two-phase buildup- some key ingredients you'll always find in a Bastian Salbart production- the middle of the song takes a mighty lead guitar line, trance-inspired stab chords and vocal samples and blends it into a gorgeous interlude that bears resemblance to the trance/rock fusion interludes Armin van Buuren and his guitarist brother Eller van Buuren have created in songs like “Coming Home” and “Reprise.” A more plucky and clean guitar line is also featured in the buildups of the song, in order to add some contemporary dimension, before dropping into the trancey goodness.
You can purchase “Krush” on Beatport and listen to a preview of the track below.
