Andrew Bayer and Norin & Rad have combined forces in the side project, Artificial. The name is perfect because so far their releases have been absolutely unreal. The latest tune from the collaboration, ‘Stuck in Sa Caleta' was made when the trio “unfortunately got stuck 3 extra days in a villa in Ibiza.” I can only hope these three's luck stays the same and doors continue to lock from the outside, because this track is absolutely amazing.
The track starts out with filtered, quickly alternating synths and wind whipping the background. Very quickly the filter is ripped off and the wind turns into bass kicks. The song breaks at the half way mark and a quiet piano comes in which is mixed with haunting vocal pitches. This track ends on a totally unexpected bounce that is just so satisfying. Between the unique attention to detail and masterful layering, it is obvious that Artificial is going to become a very real part of the Anjunabeats family.
