Jared and Dylan, residents of Orlando, Florida and the duo that makes up Vices, are your average young guys looking to make waves in the music scene and turn their passion into something meaningful.
After playing and producing separately around the Orlando area and working together on a few collaborations, the two realized there was chemistry between their sounds and came together to create numerous original mixes, remixes and bootlegs.
Combining their mutual love for 90's club music, hip hop and R&B, Vices really found a knack for producing Jersey Club music. They stay true to these east coast dance roots using lots of choppy vocals and samples throughout most of their tunes.
Most recently, the pair produced a new spin on an old classic, R. Kelly and T. Pain's “I'm A Flirt.” The song is fast paced and full of energy. The cleverly cut sample is the driving force of the tune with its powerful beat and urgency to get up and dance.
Midway through, your ears will encounter a bit of a sensual hiatus during which the pace is slowed and you have a moment to relax, reflect and absorb the vibes of the sexy sample.
Then the homestretch picks right back up and reminds you of the energy that got the song there in the first place.
All around, this remix is a highly enjoyable recreation and definitely worth a listen.
