Earlier today, Disciple Recordings has released their remix set of Pegboard Nerds' track “High Roller”. This set contains four tracks by Dodge & Fuski, Far Too Loud, Astronaut, and Krafty Kuts. We took the time to get in contact with these fantastic artists for some comments on their remixes. Check out what they had to say below and make sure to listen to their remixes!
Dodge & Fuski
I love the original track's big sounding brass section because it has so much weight to it. When remixing it, I really wanted to keep the vibe of the original, while adding my own style and trying to give it a bit of a 90s G-Funk vibe. The riff really lent itself to the process, and it was definitely one of my favorite remixes to do in a long time!
Far Too Loud
I already loved the original version of this track so being able to get my hands on the stems and put my mark on it was a privilege. The remix came together fairly naturally so it was a fun process.
Astronaut
It was an honour to remix this track for pegboard nerds! We wanted to create something completely different to what the other remixers were doing and I think we achieved that goal! Production wise this is one our best mixdowns in our opinion.
Krafty kuts
I'm a big fan of pegboard nerds, their production is on point, so being able to remix for them was great fun.
