Recently, BBC Radio 1 has been dishing out classic house tracks on their Friday Night Essential Mix. However, this week Ben UFO (Ben Thompson) brings a heavy bass mix that he says, “It's a pretty dark mix, even for me.” But don't let this scare you away, he continues to add, “there are moments of clarity and brightness,” and this 39 track mix was sure not to lift off of the heavy bass.
Thompson says over time things have changed for him. He originally contributed to the sound of dubstep but as time when on he has started “playing everything from “sub-heavy techno to twisted broken house music – the one thing that’s remained constant is an emphasis on bass-weight.”
