This past weekend in El Paso, Texas was the Neon Desert Music Festival. Here a plethora of artists performed, but the two main headliners were that of Wolfgang Gartner and Martin Solveig. Wolfgang Gartner has just ended his set when Martin Solveig went on and it wasn't long until Wolfgang Gartner took to twitter to let Martin Solveig know about his choice of songs during his set.
damn somebody's playing straight up Beatport top 10 hits marathon on the dance stage right now. sometimes this industry confuses me.

alright this is why i quit being on twitter all the time.i'm way too honest. i think vacation starts now. peace. thanks again el paso.

and it ain't no local or opener either.:/
— Wolfgang Gartner (@wolfganggartner) May 26, 2013
ok let's count.so far:”Years,” “Clarity,” “Easy,” but i've only been listening 20 minutes.
— Wolfgang Gartner (@wolfganggartner) May 26, 2013
not that surprising.this is what half my “friends” / DJs do at festivals anyway just to appease the crowd. this is why I play Wu Tang
— Wolfgang Gartner (@wolfganggartner) May 26, 2013
I want to start a count of how many times “high profile” djs play the same tracks in their sets at festivals.what's the fuckin point?
— Wolfgang Gartner (@wolfganggartner) May 26, 2013
fucking DIG, lazy ass fucks.then do a re-edit.then mash it up.and don't play anything in the BP top 10, cuz errybody else is. BASIC.
— Wolfgang Gartner (@wolfganggartner) May 26, 2013
whenever i'm done making enemies with 90% of the DJ community I will disappear from twitter for another week as suggested by my advisors.
— Wolfgang Gartner (@wolfganggartner) May 26, 2013
oh hey, it's Reload.
— Wolfgang Gartner (@wolfganggartner) May 26, 2013
n u know what?i play the same gigs, get the same money, same slots, and i dont play any of those tracks (ok i played Reload b4 it was out)
— Wolfgang Gartner (@wolfganggartner) May 26, 2013
moral of the story: YOU DON'T HAVE TO PLAY THE HITS TO GET THE MONEY AND PLEASE THE CROWD. try harder, dig deeper, and believe what u push
— Wolfgang Gartner (@wolfganggartner) May 26, 2013
While Wolfgang Gartner made some very good points, here is how Martin Solveig responds.
@wolfganggartner has this conversation something to do with my set? Funny
— Martin Solveig (@martinsolveig) May 26, 2013
@wolfganggartner well allow me a reply. These people came for a party to celebrate this sound that they love, that is so popular and drives
— Martin Solveig (@martinsolveig) May 26, 2013
@wolfganggartner 10k+, 50k+ people to a fest that eventually pays ur fee. I'm a crowd pleaser& leave experimentation 2 real underground acts
— Martin Solveig (@martinsolveig) May 26, 2013
@wolfganggartner its an interesting debate anyway, next time you wanna have it, don't forget to mention me
— Martin Solveig (@martinsolveig) May 26, 2013
Who do you think is in the right here?
