CAZZETTE is the Swedish duo of Alexander Björklund and Sebastian Furrer, and if you were anywhere near a festival mainstage in the early 2010s, you already know their sound whether you clocked the name or not. They linked up in 2011 and wasted no time carving out a lane that leaned harder, weirder, and more electro than a lot of the big-room stuff dominating that era.

Their real breakthrough came with 2014’s “Sleepless,” which put them on the map at home in Sweden, but it was “Blind Heart” featuring Terri B! that really broke them wide open, riding all the way to number one on the US Dance chart in early 2015. That run got cemented with their debut album Eject, home to the bouncy, unmistakable “Beam Me Up,” a track that still gets crowds moving. Sonically, CAZZETTE always sat at the intersection of festival-ready electro house and future house, unafraid to throw a curveball hook or an odd sample into the mix instead of playing it safe.

They came up alongside Avicii, sharing stages with him in New York and later Manchester, and their catalog is packed with collabs, working with names like Terri B!, The High, and even The Killers along the way. Releases have come through a mix of homes over the years, including PRMD, 4th & B’way, ICONS Music, and STMPD, showing a duo that’s never been precious about sticking to one label if it means getting the music out right.

Furrer stepped back from the road in 2016 to focus purely on production, but CAZZETTE as a creative project never really stopped. They kept dropping EPs like Desserts, Time, and Stereo Mono, and eventually returned with a noticeably different chapter: singles like “Let It Be” leaned into a 90s-inspired, sample-driven sound built on tape machines and vintage samplers, part of a planned project called Magnetic Vol. 1. It’s the kind of pivot that shows a group more interested in reinventing itself than chasing whatever’s trending.

CAZZETTE’s story is a good reminder that “one big song” acts can actually have real range.
