Matoma is a Norwegian DJ and producer who creates tropical house music. His real name is Tom Stræte Lagergren, and he was born in 1991. Matoma first rose to prominence with his 2014 remix of the song “Old Thing Back” by The Notorious B.I.G. He has since released several EPs and singles, including the 2015 hit “All Night” with rapper Ja Rule. Matoma's music is characterized by its happy, upbeat sound, often featuring steel drums and other tropical instrumentation. In addition to his solo work, Matoma has also collaborated with a number of other artists, including Common, Magic!, and Flo Rida.
