For the last several months Marshmello has been steadily dropping some seriously impressive collaborations with the likes of Migos as well as Selena Gomez, and a posthumous collaboration with Lil Peep. All of the tracks had massive commercial success but to call any EDM, is well a bit of a stretch. This has not sat well with many fans who fell in love with Mello's signature hybrid trap sound.
Today though Marshmello announced that he has been hard at work on an EP which is entirely rooted in EDM. Obviously his fans (Mellogang) just about lost their freaking minds. It has been a long time coming, and it seems like we could be hearing some signature Marshmello heat any day now. So far 2018 has been a year where more and more artists are focusing on returning to their roots. We have already heard the same from Calvin Harris.
