So last year we ran a little competition in honor of the festivities surrounding the NCAA March Madness tournament. We lined up the top 16 artists in the 4 chosen sub genres and had them battle it out. Over 25,000 votes were cast over the month of March and ultimately it came down to Skrillex and Deadmau5.
While the duo fought it out, Deadmau5 was voted the overall winner. This year we are sweetening the deal and providing y'all with the bracket a month early. This way you can fill it out and email it in to us for consideration for some prizes. The prizes range from gift cards to the EDM Sauce store, exclusive guest mixes from top 100 artists (yes, that only you will have), and even festival tickets. The voting for the first round will start on March 1st and last until March 7th. Then we will make our way to the round of 32, the sweet 16, elite 8, final four and of course the championship.
This year the favorites from their respective genres are: Skrillex, Deadmau5, Aly & Fila and The Chainsmokers. These rankings were created by compiling last year's votes, record sales, music stream totals, and other factors. There was no easy widget for us to use for filling out the brackets so here is what we've come up with.
Getting the Bracket
Download your version of the bracket in a form which you can digitally fill out below!
When you follow the link you will be sent to a shared google sheet!
There just click file, and then download as a Microsoft Excel file. You can then use Excel to fill out the sheet!
If you do not have Excel, not to worry, once the sheet is downloaded all you have to do is upload to your personal google drive and BOOM you can use google sheets.
Filling Out the Bracket
Fill in the winners of each match ups for each round. The colors are there as a guide to make orientation of each match up easier. The winner of each match should go on the top or the bottom of the color. You'll see when you click the link!
Once you are happy with your guesses just save it and email it to [erik@edmsauce.com] with your name and location by February 28th. Good Luck!
