For those of you not familiar with Maya Jane Coles, she is an English/Japanese music producer, audio engineer and DJ. At only 25, she's released her biggest body of work today, her album Comfort, and she's played in around 40 countries worldwide taking in festivals like Fuji Rocks (Japan), Coachella (USA), Ultra (USA), T in the Park (UK), Creamfields (UK) among countless others all around the world.
Further Maya productions ‘Don’t Put Me In Your Box’ EP (Hypercolour), “Humming Bird” EP (Hypercolour), ‘Focus Now’ EP (20:20 Vision), “Beat Faster” EP (Mobilee) has gathered support from a variety of names such as Skream, Richie Hawtin, Groove Armada, Jamie Jones, Diplo, Miss Kittin, Mike Skinner, Anja Schneider, Pete Tong and Carl Cox alongside a plethora of the underground DJ community.
Never Walk Away is one out of a 4-track collaboration EP called “In Dark, In Day” with the British based duo GAPS aka Rachel Butt and Ed Critchley. “I love the minimal darkness of what Maya does,” says Rachel, “and she just loves making music. Collaboratively, it's been a lovely union too.”
