An early 2000 mega-hit receives a rework courtesy of Brazilian megastar Alok and Austrian multi-instrumentalist Glimmer of Blooms. Titled ‘My Head (Can’t Get You Out)’, the new single is a mesmerizing release that will enthrall fans of both artists.
Covered initially by Glimmer of Blooms in 2015, this new amended version takes the Viennese artist’s previous interpretation and casts light onto the dancefloor thanks to a Brazilian bass touch. Opening with an acoustic guitar and the song’s hook “la la la”, ‘My Head (Can’t Get You Out)’ radiates with a passionate lead vocal and rippling slap house instrumental that has influences from both Alok and Glimmer of Blooms. The fusion of these two artists on this 2021 version of ‘My Head (Can’t Get You Out)’ is abundant with chemistry.
Talking about the single, Alok said: “Hearing Glimmer of Blooms voice on his initial cover of the song was something that hit me with a lot of emotions. It is such an incredible version of the original, and I immediately felt this would make a great dancefloor track. So, we got talking and had a connection right away. Super happy with the final version of what we reconstructed with this new single.”
Glimmer of Blooms added: “It was a really awesome experience to work with Alok and such a great team. As soon as I heard the first demo, I immediately knew that this will be a true banger. I am very grateful to be part of this release and hope this is just the beginning of a new chapter in my life.”
