Tiësto & John Christian Team Up For Big Room Blaster “Can You Feel It”

Just in time for Ultra Miami Tiësto has just released ‘Can You Feel It’, a big room club track collaboration with John Christian through his label Musical Freedom.
“John and I have been friends for a while and when we’re in the studio together magic happens!” said Tiësto. “This will be a go-to uplifting track that will be a mainstay in my festival sets throughout 2019.”
John Christian is a recurring artist on Musical Freedom. His first release with the label dates back to 2013 when he reworked the Tiësto classic ‘Flight 643’. His last collaboration with Tiësto, ‘I Like It Loud’ ft. Marshall Masters & The Ultimate MC, was released exactly one year ago. He was also an important contributor to Tiësto’s last album Club Life vol. 5: China.
‘Can You Feel It’ comes on the heels of ‘Halfway There’, a club track collaboration with Dzeko featuring Lena Leon, which has been streamed over 1.5 Million times since its release last week.
A Long-Running Partnership Between Two Dutch Producers
John Christian and Tiësto’s chemistry in the studio goes back further than most collaborators get with a headliner of Tiësto’s caliber. Christian has quietly been one of Musical Freedom’s most dependable names since the label’s early years, releasing a steady stream of club-ready tracks that fit right into a big room set without ever feeling like filler. Getting tapped for reworks of Tiësto classics, and then landing multiple original collaborations over the years, speaks to how much trust the two have built up working together.
“Can You Feel It” dropped right as Ultra Music Festival was kicking off in Miami, giving Tiësto a fresh weapon to debut in front of one of the biggest crowds of the year. Timing a release around Ultra has long been a go-to move for artists on Musical Freedom, since it guarantees a massive live test run for a brand new track within days of release.
Musical Freedom has stayed one of the more consistent imprints in the big room and club space, with Tiësto continuing to use the label as an outlet for tracks built specifically for festival mainstages. Between records like this one, “Halfway There” with Dzeko, and his ongoing Club Life mix series, Tiësto has kept a packed release schedule that leans heavily on the kind of longtime studio partnerships that produced “Can You Feel It” in the first place.
