“Before I went solo I was in a band back in college. Everybody thought we were the real deal but we didn’t stand the test of time; there was too much we disagreed on when it came to our business decisions and had to go our separate ways shortly after graduating. I was devastated when we broke up and I ended up writing these lyrics about knowing something is a bad idea but continuing to go back to it over and over again. We knew we disagreed on so much of what makes a band great, but we kept holding on, despite that and in the end it came back to bite us.” – Julie Elody
