Denver’s Massive New Festival Cancels 2019 Edition, Cites A Need To Refocus As The Cause

When news broke that a major new music festival was coming to Denver, people went nuts. It seemed like the perfect place for the next Coachella or Bonnaroo to call home. What eventually came was Grandoozy.

The festival had a relatively successful first year with headliners such as Kendrick Lamar, Florence and The Machine, and Stevie Wonder. That being said, it was also met with complaints from neighbors and attendees for noise issues and seemingly incredulously high ticket prices.

The most common complaint from fans was that the festival failed to connect with the market it was trying to promote to. Denver, after all, has a lively but specific music scene, one which the Grandoozy lineup did not cater towards.

So after only one year on the map, Grandoozy has called a hiatus for 2019 to try and refocus its energy for 2020. Whether this remains a hiatus or becomes a full cancelation remains to be seen. Check out the details below.
