In 2018, Calvin Harris promised a return to the sound which helped him break onto the scene, and boy did he ever deliver. Stepping away from pop-oriented hits and hip-hop as a whole, Calvin saw the release of two truly masterful house singles. The massive ‘One Kiss' alongside Dua Lipa, and the funky cut, ‘Promises' with Sam Smith.
Both singles topped the charts in the UK and had massive popularity around the world. Calvin once again demonstrated that pop or not, he knows how to produce a true hit record.
This week a video on Twitter leaked that Calvin was back in the studio with Dua Lipa and Tove Lo. Talk about a superstar squad of musicians. Will this development give way to a new series of collaborations? We certainly hope so.
