SWARM and ATLAST are two producers who live in the darker realms of their genres. SWARM is a master at creating midtempo nightmares and ATLAST whose G-House and darker house vibes live on the wrong side of the tracks, it was only a matter of time before the two got together. However, if you were to tell me these two would be combing on a holiday song I would have laughed in your face for these two surely put the Antichrist in Christmas. Religious assumptions aside the two have combined to create what has to be the evilest X-mas song ever created in the aptly named track A Christmas Song.
The track begins with a cold winter rain setting a backdrop for an organ synth that brings in the melody. I say synths however it would not surprise me in the least if SWARM has an actual pipe organ in his home, he is that kind of guy. Between that and the chants of a haunting chorus you quickly feel this holiday song is not created to bring cheer and joy. Hammering percussion slam forth a glitch-filled drop that purposely makes you uneasy while at the same time evoke a bass face accompanied by headbanging. After the break, the chanting and organs return before the final drop hits and the song closes out.
