Galantis rocketed onto the scene with a handful of euphoric, progressive house and big room tracks. Singles like ‘You' and ‘Runaway' quickly became timeless classics. In 2018, the guys have begun to work outside of their comfort zone and found some serious success.
In my opinion, Galantis‘ release, ‘Satisfied' was one of the best releases in all of 2018. The funky, feel-good little jam is so damn catchy it is hard not to fall in love with it almost instantly. It served as a bit of departure from Galantis' signature style. The guy's latest release, ‘Emoji' continues the trend of defying expectations just as ‘Satisfied' did, but this time in a more subtle chilled out way.

The new single, ‘Emoji' is a hybrid tune that pulls influence from soul, R&B, and of course dance music. The relaxed, almost tropical melody to the tune serves as the perfect landscape for vocals to be laid on top.
The track is not a club banger, or festival showstopper, but instead, something a bit deeper. This tune mimics the change of seasons. As it begins to get cold outside once again, ‘Emoji' serves as a soundscape for the natural introspection that comes with the final quarter of the year.
