Martin Garrix Has Once Again Taken The Number Spot In The DJ Mag Top 100 DJs

It is official everyone, Martin Garrix has once again been crowned the world’s number 1 DJ by the readers of DJ Mag. While this year’s Top 100 left A LOT to be desired in several ways, the top 6 spots were once again held by the same artists with a slight reshuffling.
While the poll has become a bit laughable in terms of reliability with rampant voter fraud, and artists spending thousands on marketing techniques to recruit voters, we have to say that Martin does deserve the recognition once again.
After a year full of firey collaborations and singles, and 5 new records over the past week Garrix has demonstrated that he has his finger on the pulse of the industry.
Congratulations to Martin Garrix. Check out the top 10 below, and see all the results on DJ Mag’s Twitter here.

Three Years Running
This win makes it three straight years at the top for Garrix, who first grabbed the No. 1 spot in 2016 and held onto it in 2017 before repeating again in 2018. That kind of streak puts him in pretty rare company on a list that’s been dominated over the years by names like Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, and Hardwell. The DJ Mag Top 100 is voted on entirely by fans, with the 2018 edition run in partnership with UNICEF UK, and 2018 actually marked the poll’s 25th anniversary, tracing all the way back to 1993.
What Kept Him On Top
Garrix didn’t coast into this one. Between festival-headlining sets and a steady stream of collaborations, he kept his name everywhere fans were voting from, and that visibility matters just as much as the music itself when it comes to a poll like this one. Love it or side-eye it for the marketing arms race it’s become, the Top 100 remains the loudest yearly conversation starter in dance music, and for the third year straight, that conversation started and ended with Martin Garrix.
