La Mercè Festival takes place every September in Barcelona, Spain. While the festival is a celebration of the city's patron saint it has developed over the years into one of Spain's largest and most impressive city festivals. This year during the Fireworks festival portion of La Mercè Festival, the city paid tribute Avicii.

Tim Berg, better known by his stage name Avicii, tragically passed away from self-inflicted wounds in April of this year. Since the tragic death of Avicii, the world has poured out support in various ways. Artists have dedicated sets, and songs at festivals and clubs alike, Sweden honored their national hero with a hauntingly beautiful church bell rendition of Tim's hit “Wake Me Up”, and artists such as Arty have released original tracks.

That being said the firework display timed alongside some of Tim's greatest hits will give you goosebumps. Check out the video from this year's La Mercè Festival below.
