Pantheon has recently put out Timewarp featuring Nyxen, a well-crafted adventure through techno. The Australian based producer is also the head of Unknown Records, where he curates a premiere catalog that explores electronic music from the melodic tones in his recent studio output, to the heavier, more driving hints across the techno realm. Pantheon is no stranger to Nyxen for he has remixed In The City, an earlier release by Nyxen on Unknown Records. Pantheon has sat on bills across the country’s premier venues and music festivals, while recently hitting the road with the Unknown Records crew national showcase tour.
Timewarp kicks off with minimal techno percussion and progressively grows darker. The combination of acid synths and Nyxen’s haunting vocals make for a fantastic track. Wood knocks and glass foley plucks add the perfect groove to this dance-inducing track. This precise track brings the old-school acid sound to the future with a bit of an edge to it.
