DJ Mag Announces The Best DJs Awards For North America

DJ Mag has had a few issues in recent years with their legendary Top 100 poll. Mainly incredible amounts of voter fraud. I mean levels of voter fraud that would almost constitute the word “comical” being used. But there has been one contest that DJ Mag annually throws that has stayed widely unaffected by voter fraud. Of course, I am talking about The North American DJ awards. This year, I have to say that I entirely agree with those artists chosen to receive honors.

DJ Mag Announces North American DJ Awards

So who won the top spot for best North American DJ? None other than Claude Von Stroke. The Dirtybird daddy is obviously quite worthy of this honor. But that wasn't his only reason to celebrate.

Dirtybird also got named North America's best label. This comes as a surprise to just about no one, as the label has made a name for itself through a strong artist lineup, incredible releases and of course its Campout and Cookout events around the United States.

Odesza naturally won the live act category well because seeing them perform live is nothing short of a religious experience.

In the breakthrough categories, Rezz won the honor of Breakthrough DJ of the year. Understandably so as the young woman has been headlining festivals and selling out clubs for the entirety of 2017 and 2018 thus far. Moon Boots took the honor of Breakthrough producer and again, rightfully so. Moon Boots signature brand of seductive, funky house is exactly what dance music collectively needs at the moment.

Check out the announcement below with the rest of the winners, and follow the link to see interviews with each of the artists!
